Campground Overview
Dining Common (Markham Hall) – The spacious dining hall with fireplace and view of our beautiful upper campground has a seating capacity of approximately 275-300 people depending on arrangement & configuration. Food service is the responsibility of each user group. Our commercial kitchen, with multiple ovens, counter-top gas griddle, walk-in refrigerator, chest freezer, automatic dishwasher and multiple stainless-steel tables offer a complete setting for the preparation of all of your meals.
Auditorium/Chapel (Flagg Hall) – With seating for up to 300 people, and the flexibility to accommodate large and small groups alike, this air-conditioned meeting venue is complete with a stage/platform, PA/sound system conduit, and video projection screen.
Camping Cabins – Our rustic cabins make up the majority of the sleeping accommodations. With an ability to accommodate up to 300 campers and staff, most of the rooms are set up to house 10-12 people in bunks, with a center dividing room furnished with separate bunk beds, ideal for camp counselors & group leaders.
Lodge Cabins (Ed’s Place) – Spacious and comfortable. The lodge provides three individually furnished rooms, each with a sofa or recliner, one queen-size and one twin-size bed, a bathroom with shower & tub, a walk-in closet, refrigerator, and microwave.
Guest House – Enjoy all the comforts of home! This little cottage is perfect for entertaining a small group. The living room features a sofa, love seat, recliner, refrigerator and microwave. At the end of the day, you can enjoy a peaceful night’s rest in the cozy bedroom with private bath.
RV Sites – Electrical and water hook-ups are available to accommodate R.V.’s of various sizes. RV sites are located on the upper and middle levels of the campground and range from 30-50 feet in length.
First Aid Station – This functional, climate controlled building, furnished with multiple patient beds, a restroom facility, refrigerator, and a work desk provides a haven of safety and security in the case of injury or other medical needs. Locking cabinets are available to store medicines and other sensitive items.
Snack Shop/Canteen – Complete with two commercial refrigeration units, a freezer, and product display shelving, this air-conditioned building provides a place where your user group can enjoy the sweet treats that are associated with camping.
Craft/Game Room – Situated in a woodsy setting, this air-conditioned room can be configured to accommodate a small meeting or the creative ideas of your user group. Multiple tables, padded chairs, and a refrigeration unit for cold beverages offer a cozy meeting environment. Two carpet ball tables with billiard balls are available for your gaming entertainment.
Restrooms – Multiple restroom facilities with showers are available throughout the campground- These buildings are located on the upper and middle levels adjacent to the cabins and can also be found on the lower level near the waterfront.
Fire Pits – Get ready to keep toasty warm and roast marshmallows ‘round the campfire at one of the multiple fire pits available here at MLYC.
Activities & Recreation
Swimming – Enjoy water activities at the beach! This area includes a large floating dock with ladders, multiple diving boards and a lifeguard tower. Our policy of NO swimming without a lifeguard on duty is strictly enforced at all times. Get ready for a wet and wild time!
Hiking – With numerous walking trails and paths in the area, you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends.
Basketball – Assemble your team and get ready to shoot hoops on our basketball court complete with two adjustable height baskets.
Box Hockey – Grab a hockey stick and prepare for an epic one on one battle as you maneuver the puck and shoot to score goals against your opponent.
Ga-Ga Ball – This is a fast-paced, high-energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players, the better! Dubbed a kinder gentler version of dodge ball, the game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees. Players need to keep moving to avoid getting hit by the ball. Fun and easy, everyone gets a serious workout.
Handball/Wallball – Find your friends and be the last one standing as you attempt to eliminate your opponent in this energetic game of speed and agility.
Paintball – Prepare to splatter the enemy team as you take aim at this exciting activity located in the woods surrounding the perimeter of the campground. Paintball equipment is not provided.
Playground – Located on the upper campground, our playground is equipped with a heavy-duty Swing Set and Monkey Bars for hours-long fun and entertainment.
Super Sport Waterslide – Watch out below! Be the first one down the hill as you take an exciting ride on our 300 ft. multi-color slip & slide.
Tennis/Pickleball – Grab a partner and enjoy a friendly game of racket swinging under the warm afternoon sun.
Tetherball – Smack the ball around with your friends in an attempt to be the first to wrap it around the pole.
Volleyball – Engage in energetic, fun filled times with friends in one of our two sand-covered volleyball courts complete with professional netting.
9 Square in the Air – This activity combines volleyball and traditional 9-square to create a fast-paced, fun-filled game that will bring your group together.
